Themiddlepartofthe20thcenturybroughtnewwaystohelppeoplegetoverdiseases.Theyworkedverywell.Theymadepeoplehealthierandallowedthemtolivelonger.Bythe1960smostpeoplecouldexpecttolivetobeatleast60.
Bythistimemostpeopleindevelopedcountrieshadaverygoodlife.Ofcoursenewinventionscontinuedtobemade.Butmannowhadadesire(渴望)toexploreagain.Theearthwasknowntomanbutthestarswerenot.Manbeganlookingforwaystogointospace.Russiamadethefirststep.ThenUnitedStatestookastep.SincethenothercountriesincludingChinaandJapanhavemadetheirownstepsintospace.
In1969mantookhisbiggeststepawayfromearth.Americansfirstwalkedonthemoon.Thisiscertainlyjustabeginningthough.Newinventionswillsomedayallowustodothingswehaveneveryetdreamedof.
