Competitionandcooperation 　　Competitionisacommonphenomenoninoursociety.Wecompetewhenweplaygames,wetrytodobetterthanothersinourstudy,andthereisconstantcompetitionforjobs,fame,wealthandsoforth.Therefore,wecansaythat,inacertainsense,competitionisoneofthemotiveforcesofthedevelopmentofourmodernsociety. 　　Itisoftenbelieved,thatcompetitionandcooperationareinoppositiontoeachother.Somepeoplestresscompetition,withoutwhich,intheireyes,thereisnoresponsibility,nodriveandultimately,noprogress.Othersadvocatecooperationwhatevertheydo.Theyareoftheopinionthatthedependenceofpeopleononeanotherhasincreased,withoutwhichthesocietyweliveincannotkeepgoingsmoothly.Inreality,wefindthatinmanycasescompetitiongoeshandinhandwithcooperation.Letstakeafootballgameforexample.Duringthegame,oneteamiscompetingagainsttheother,buteachmemberoftheteammustcooperatewithhisteammates.Otherwise,theywouldlosethegamenomatterhowskillfuleachindividualplayermightbe.Itisclearthatcompetitionhasmuchtodowithcooperation. 　　AsfarasI'mconcerned,Idonotagreewiththeviewthatcompetitionandcooperationarealwaysinconflictwitheachother.Inmyopinion,whileadvocatingcompetition.Weshouldneverforgetcooperation.Inoursociallife,cooperationisespeciallynecessarybecausemostworkisfulfilledwithorthroughotherpeople.SoIvecometotheconclusionthatcompetitionareequallyimportant.
