PughspentseveralyearsinNigeria,whereshelearnedhowcloselystorytellingwaslinkedtotheeverydaylifeofthepeoplethere.Thebenefitsofstorytellingarefoundeverywhere,shesays.
“Ilearnedhowpeopleusedstoriestospreadtheirculture,”shesays,“WhatIdoistofocusonthevalueofthestoriesthatpeoplecantranslateintotheirowndailyworldofaffairs.Weareallstorytellers.Weallhaveastorytotell.Wetelleverybody’sstory.”
