Onenightin1865,hehadastrangedream.HedreamedhewasinsidetheWhiteHouse.Agroupofpeoplewerestandingaroundacoffin(boxinwhichadeadpersonlies)intheEastRoomoftheWhiteHouse.Manyofthemwerecrying.“Whoisdead?”heasked.“Thepresident,”someoneanswered.“Hewaskilledbyamurderer.”Afewdaysafterthis,onApril14th,LincolnwasshotandkilledwhilehewaswatchingaplayatFord'sTheaterinWashington,D.C.
