我的理解是：
1、with,表示with后面所有的这一串.不加逗号,就只是with紧接在后面的那个.
2、superimposedupon,同样表示后面那一串都是superimposedupon的.相当于superimposeduponitthecontinents,加上superimposedupontogetherwiththeislandsandotherfeaturesoftheoceans.
3、itthecontinents,参考2,其实它是superimposeduponitthecontinents,superimposedupon后面接双宾语.
