TaoranPavilionParkGeneralIntroduction 　　TaoranPavilionParkislocatedinthesouthofBeijing'sXuanwuDistrict.Itcovers59hectaresoutofwhich17hectareswatersurface.Theparkwasbuiltin1952,anditisthefirstmodernlandscapeArchiteltureafterthefoundationoftheP.R.C.ThereaerfamoushistoricalsitesofBeinjingstrongculturalatmosphere,andrevolutionaryhistorymakditafamousresortattractingnumerousvisitors. 　　In1695(QingDynasty),aseniorofficialofthecentralgovemmentorderedtobuildapaviliontothewestoftheMercyNunneryandnamedit"Taoran"quotedfromapoemofBaiJu-yi,oneofthegreatestpoetsinTangDynasty.literatieslikedthePavilionverymuch,andthosewholivedinotherprovincesmustareherewhentheycametoBeinjing.Ithasbeenwell-knownandhadbeenafamoussiteofBeijingwith200yearofQingDynasty. 　　SurroundingTaoranPavilionweremanyfamoushistoricalsites.TothenorthwestofthepavilionwasDragonTreeTemple,whichwasasfamousasTaoranPavilioninlateQingDynastyandmanycelebritiesvisitedhere.OtherswereBladkDragonPool,KingDragonPavilion,NezhaTemple,PlunBlossomGarden,andZuGardenthatwerelocatedtotheeastorwestrespectively.TothenorthwasYaoTaiTeahouse,andtothemortheastwerefragrantTombandsoon¡­.MostofthesehistoricalsiteshadalongerhistorythanTaoranPavilion,andevenearlierthantheMercyNuneery.FamousPoemsandcalligraphersoftencamehereandleftmanyfamouspoemsandcalligraphyworks. 　　TaoranPavilionalsohadasplendidrevolutionaryhistoryinmordentimes,especiallyintheperiodof"MayfourthMovement".Thefoundersandleadersofcpclikelipazhao,MaozeDong,andzhouEnLaicameheretoholdrevolutionaryactivitse.OnJanuary18,1920,revolutionariesMaoZeDong,DenszhongxiaandmembersofAssistsocietygatheredheretodiscussaplanhowtostruggleagainsttheHunanwarlordzhangJingyao.Photographsofremembranceweretakenrishtunderthisoldpagodatree.OnAugust16th,1920,bymembersoftheconscioussocietyledbycomradezhouEnlaitogetharwithdelegacyofyoungchinesociety,TheDawnsociety,thehumanitarionsocietyandtheyouthGroupofmutualhelp,issuesregardingtothepatrioticmovement,andaunitedstruggleafterthe"may4th"movement.BetweenKulyandAugust,1921,amemberoftheyoungchinasocietychenyusheng'swifedied,andburiedhere,andrenttworwmsinthenameoftakingcareofthegrave,whichwereactuallyusedasaplacetoengagesecretrevolutionaryactivitiesbycomradesofdengzhongxia,YunDaiying,andGaoJunyuintheperiodbetween1921-1923.FodayTaoranpavilionparkhasbecomemoreandmorebeautifulwiththemodernizationofBeiJing.Thelayoutoftheparkisverybeautiful. 　　Thepavilionislocatedonasmallisland,whichisthecenterofothersceneryspots.Theislandiscoveredwithluxuriantvegetation,andonthebankarepavilionandlongcorridors.BesideTaoranPavilion,Jingqiuhillandyantouhillarealsoonthemid-lateisland.AtthesouthfootofJingqiuhillisthe"Rosehill",whicharetheruinsofFragrantTombandparrotTomb.InthetranquilpinewoodsisthetombsofGaoJun-yuandshiping-Meitheearlyrevolutionistsofcpc. 　　CathaypavillonGardenisa"gardeningarden"insideTaoranPavilionpark,Itwasbuiltin1985,Manyfamousgardensinchinawereimitatedtobuildhere,incladding"zuiwegpavilion""lanpavil
