Forsomeunmatureyoungsters,independencemaybetheworstnightmareforthem.Theytrytodefendthemselvesbyarguingthatindependenceisapassiveandmiserablething,whyshouldsomeoneaskforitevenbeforeitispossibetostayatthesafedockoftheirfamilies.Inmyopinion,however,independenceissuchaprecioustreasurethattheearlieryougetit,themoreyouwillbenefitfromit,aslongasyoucansurvivethiscompetitivemodernworld.

Allmaturehumanwilladmitthat,asanindividualinacompetitiveworld,everyoneowesapieceofunreplaceableresponsibilitytohimorherself.Wegotfamilyprotectionatayoungagebecausewewerethentoovulnerabletosustainthepressurefromtherealworld;andwelearnedalotofskills--whichcouldleadustosuccessoneday--fromourfamilieswhilegrowingup.However,welearnthosetoentitleindependencetous,nottoenableustofindreasonsforhidingbehined.Howcouldhumanproceedorachieveinthisnegativeway?Ifapersonunderstandstheimportanceofindependence,heorshewillacceptindependencemorevoluntarily.

What’smore,independenceisanecessaryprocessandtheultimateresultforaqualifiedhumanbeing.Inotherwords,allofushavetowelcometheadvertofindependencesomeday,whetheryoulikeitornot.Why?Becausewecouldnotbecoveredbyfamilyprotectionforever.Familyisacontinuouslydevelopingprocess,whichmeansyoucouldbesweptbytheworldlytorrentsifnotpreparedwell.Atleast,onehastoconsiderthenextgenerationandfurther.Otherwise,heorshewillnotbeaqualifiedcitizen.
