PANDA 　　Strikingblack-and-whitebearwithblackfuraroundtheeyes,ontheears,onallfourlegs,andacrossthebackfromshouldertoshoulder.Sometimestheblackfurisreplacedwithreddishblackorbrownishfur.Unusually,ithassixdigitsoneachfrontfoot,withthesixthdigitactuallyanextensionofthesesamoidboneandservingasanopposablethumb,thusgivingthepandaadditionaldexterity.Thisstockybearreachesabout5.5–6ft(1.7–1.8m)inbodylengthandweighsabout175–280lb(80–125kg),withthefemalesabout10–15percentlighterthanthemales. 　　Primarilyeatbamboo,includingtheleaves,stems,andshoots.Theyarethemostvegetarianofthebears,eatinglittleotherthanbamboo.Theyhaveflattenedmolarsandaspecializeddigestivesystemtohandlethetoughplantmaterial.
