“Chinawillgraduallybroadenthechancefortheparticipationofforeigncapitalinthedomesticfinancialmarket”saidthePeople’sBankofChinainareport.“WewillstrengthentheconnectionsbetweenChina’sfinancialmarketandinternationalonesbyattractingmoreforeigncapitalinRenminbi-denominatedfinancialproducts”thereportsaid.
MeanwhilechannelswillalsobeexpandedtoallowChineseinvestmentinforeignfinancialmarkets.
Thebanksaiditwouldeaserestrictionsonenterprisesandindividualspossessingandusingforeigncurrenciesandincreasethenumberofqualifiedforeigninstitutionalinvestorsandthevalueoftheirinvestmentquotas(份额).“Wewillmakeuseofthefinancialmarkettoachievebalancedinternationalpayments”saidthebank.
LastyeartheStateAdministrationofForeignExchange(SAFE)raisedtheannualquotaforindividualsbuyingforeigncurrencyfromUS$20000toUS$50000.
