On August 22, 1981, a Far astrn Air Transport jtlinr (a Boing 737) bound for Kaohsiungtook off from Sungshan Airport. Tn minuts latr, at about 10:10 a.m., it xplodd in midair ovr Miaoli. All 110 passingrs aboard, among thm som Japans and Amricans, wr killd. vrybody who hard about th accidnt was shockd. This was th worst air disastr in Taiwan. What shall w do in fac of this misfortun? W must first offr sympathy to rlativs of th victims, and thn w must urg th airlin company to b rally carful with its maintnanc work. It is only through proprmaintnanc that w can hop to prvnt anothr major air disastr from happning.

But at last Fat should hav th dcncy of making propr funral arrangmnts for th unfortunat victims. Th attitud of th FAT gnral managr, howvr, is vry disappointing.
