Shine Like The Sun
Shine Like The Sun This summer I had a very wonderful time. I was very lucky. Maybe you don’t know why I say so. Now let me tell you. I took a trip with some other students and teachers in our school to Singapore. All of us enjoyed ourselves very much. We studied in our sister school---Duman High School. It is one of the best schools in Singapore. It is really very big and beautiful. You can see the tall trees and birds everywhere. In the classroom, you can see many beautiful pictures on the walls the students drew themselves. There are about thirty students in each class. They also have lessons in English besides Chinese and Chinese history. They are very active in class. If they have their own opinions, they will say it loudly to let the teachers know. They have classes from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. After that, they have lunch and go to do the things they’re interested in. They can learn to play instruments, dance and so on. Duman High School often wins awards. About three hours later, they go home. Most of them go home by bus. Singapore is a very beautiful country. We went to visit some places of interest, such as Jurong Bird Park, Singapore River, Santosa, China Town and many others. We were all very excited. We couldn’t help taking photos in these beautiful places. Time flies. After a short seven-day visit, we had to go back home. We felt sad. My friend, Jasmine’s mother gave me some Singapore bak huet tea. Jasmine gave me a card as a present. It says, “One of these days, when you least expect it, you’ll overcome your difficulties, because you and the sun have a lot of common. You are both going to shine no matter what.” I learned a lot. When we got to the airport. We couldn’t help crying but we had to say goodbye to them and to the beautiful country---Singapore!Now I am very interested in English and have made up my mind to learn it better. It’s very important to us. I will remember this special trip all my life.
