on day on his way hom, mr. smith saw a thif carrying a tv st and a rcordr running along th strt hurridly. h didn't stop th thif.instad, h pulld down his hat and prtndd not to hav sn him. a fw minuts latr, a policman stoppd him and askd if h had sn a man with a tv st and a rcordr pass by. mt. smith answrd that h hadn' t. th policman, howvr, soon caught th thif. whn mr. smith got hom, h was surprisd to s that it was his own things that had bn stoln.史密斯先生和小偷一天在回家的路上，史密斯先生看见一位小偷扛了一台电视机和一台录音机正匆匆而过。他没有去阻止这位小偷，而是用他的帽子遮住脸，假装没看见。几分钟后，一位警察过来问他是否看见一个扛电视机和录音机的人经过，史密斯先生说他没看见。后来，警察抓住了这个小偷。当史密斯先生到家时，他吃惊地发现被偷的东西就是他的。
