在我儿时的记忆中，除了春节以外就数端午节最为热闹了，由于父母工作都很忙，小时候我常常跟外婆一起呆在乡下。那时的端午节使我难以忘怀。

与平时的过年过节一样，在端午节的前一天晚上，外婆总会让我乖乖坐在床边，给我讲一些过节的规矩，例如“不许乱说话““不许偷吃冷粽子”“不许与小伙伴打闹”“不许玩水”&hllip;&hllip;我总是批频频地点头。外婆就让我早早睡下，好让明天能有个好精神。

早晨，我早早地就起床了，穿好衣服就先奔向厨房，此时外婆已把厨房里的一切都打理好了，灶台上绑着几捆桂叶和桂绳，白白嫩嫩的糯米静静地躺在盛满水的小木桶中，像一粒粒晶莹的珍珠，灶台上放着的几个小碟，里面盛着各种各样的料：有花生、有豆沙、有肉、有红塘。

于是，我就坐在桌上一边吃着早饭一边看着外婆忙碌着。

乡下的灶台是两边的，一边用来烧水，一边用来煮菜煮饭，外婆就把早已洗干净的鸭蛋放入大锅里，用木瓢从另一个热水锅里舀几瓢水放入大锅中，然后还细心地放入一小勺的盐，接着就往灶里添了几根枯枝，便坐在了我旁边，开始给我编络子了。

外婆的手由于长期劳动已经粗糙的像树皮一般了，但却不失灵巧，三下五除二一个用红绳编成的络子就编成了。

此时，蛋也煮好了，外婆就捞起一个最大的用红纸沾水染成了红色，再用干布擦拭干净，装进络子里，挂在我脖子上。接着，外婆就往我兜里装着瓜子、糖果、花生，我往往十分高兴，因为这样，我就可以和小伙伴们一起去看龙舟赛了。

外婆总是把我送到大门口，嘱咐着要我快些回来吃粽子。我总是一溜烟就消失了。

小伙伴们此时都差不多到齐了，由邻家的大姐姐当头，领着我们这一群小毛孩到河边看赛龙舟。由于河道较小，所以就只有两条的龙舟，每条龙舟都有13个人，12个人划桨，1个人打鼓喊口号，“一、二、嘿呦，一、二、快快、”12个皮肤黝黑的小伙子动作整齐地划着，两条龙舟你追我赶地向前驶去。

可是，小孩子会知道看什么呢？我们只不过图个热闹罢了。女孩子一般看了一会儿，便觉得无趣了，就坐在一旁分享起零嘴，男孩子呢，则不然，他们总喜欢沿着岸边追着龙舟跑，由于划桨的人力度较大，几乎每个男孩身上都有水花溅着的痕迹。

锣响了，大概是舟到终点了吧，刚好东西也吃完了，站起身，与伙伴们拉着手高高兴兴回家去。

太阳也慢慢爬到正空中，外婆家的厨房里已经飘出了桂叶的清香了，我就连忙蹿进厨房里，去挑已出锅的个大的粽子。一般我都会坐在门槛上把那个粽子吃得干干净净，偶尔会剩下几颗糯米粒给鸡吃，看着大公鸡的贪吃样，我也被逗乐了&hllip;&hllip;

尽管如今过端午节，母亲每年都会包粽子，编络子给我，尽管母亲的手艺一点也不比外婆逊色，但我总觉得少了些什么。
